I find the lack of Better Call Saul disturbing.

    Bob Odenkirk for the win!

I already paid my respects to Haunting of Hill House, but this still hurts.

No Westworld. No Homecoming. No The Haunting of Hill House. No Bodyguard. The Drama category couldn’t get any worse, could it?

Ozark is incredibly doing well this awards season.
Mike Flanagan is the most deserving contender, yet snubbed.
American Crime Story is a drama series according to DGA but still it should have been nominated, especially in this lineup.
I hate when certain shows populate a category and that often happens in comedy.

The tentacles of the Maisel monolith extend everywhere throughout the guilds. Meanwhile, one of the 2 best half-hours of TV in 2018 (besides Teddy Perkins), The Good Place’s Jeremy Bearimy, is left out in the cold.

Praying voters catch up on new shows by Emmy season because the guilds have been tragic.

Silicon Valley is finally done. The Americans finally showed up here. Once again happy for Succession. It keeps surprising. Mrs. Maisel is coming strong again.

Yay Ozark! Glad Succession made it in too but it got in for “Celebration” because of Adam McKay’s name. From what I’ve seen so far, there was a better directed episode they could have gone with.

I reached my tolerance limit. I’ve finally had it with poseurs who keep winning awards while actual great acting talent gets the shaft. And nobody else seems to realize it. It’s like mass osmosis. Style beat substance last night. Bottom line.

The DGA might be worse than the Globes re: their love of big names. Hader, Glover, Bateman, Stiller, McKay. I also remember a strange Bryan Cranston nod for when he directed a random Modern Family episode.

Aside from that, Ozark being a big award player now is a joke. As great and innovative as TV is nowadays, we’re really propping up Diet Breaking Bad because…it’s on Netflix? It has two big names as its leads? I dunno.

The Palladino’s are competing against each other, I see lol. Always nice to see “Succession” acknowledged, even if everyone here wrongfully slept on it. I’ll even overlook that the nomination is for Adam McKay. Jason Bateman’s direction continues to be cited for “Ozark.” Interesting. Nice to see Lesli Linka Glatter recognized as always for “Homeland”‘s insane season finale. Bill Hader and Donald Glover competing head-to-head again. Nothing for “Better Call Saul” is disappointing. I expected recognition for at least Michelle MacLaren, if not Vince Gilligan.
