41 eye-rolling Golden Globe TV snubs: ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ ‘Atlanta,’ ‘Haunting of Hill House’ and …

The Golden Globes announced their 2019 nominations on Thursday, December 6 and as usual the list of TV contenders is filled with several eye-rolling snubs. Among the list of skunked shows are drama “The Handmaid’s Tale” (Hulu) and comedy “Atlanta” (FX), both of which won their inaugural series races in 2018 and 2017, respectively, but failed to return to those top categories for their second seasons. NBC’s “This Is Us” was snubbed across the board, including for last year’s champ Sterling K. Brown, while Netflix’s “Haunting of Hill House” proved too scary for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

As a reminder, shows like “Game of Thrones,” “Stranger Things,” “Veep” and more were not eligible for this year’s nominations because they didn’t air within the 2018 calendar year. The 2019 Golden Globes will air Sunday, January 6 on NBC, hosted for the first time by Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg. Scroll down to see the list of 41 shocking Golden Globe TV snubs.
